Opportunity Overview:
The Director of Talent Development and Enablement plays a pivotal role in shaping workforce capability and engagement by partnering with operational leaders and business stakeholders to identify evolving skill requirements, assess gaps, and define critical competencies. This strategic leader drives the design and execution of targeted learning programs, oversees the full lifecycle of development initiatives, and leads internal communication efforts to ensure seamless delivery and adoption. With a focus on aligning business priorities with impactful learning experiences, the role is responsible for multi-level leadership training, functional sales enablement, and a high-impact onboarding journey for new leaders—ultimately cultivating a skilled, agile, and performance-driven organization.
A Day in the Life of the Director of Talent Development and Enablement:
Strategic Partnership & Needs Analysis
- Collaborate with operational leaders, HR Business Partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify current and emerging skill gaps and deliver innovative, scalable solutions.
- Translate business strategies into actionable learning objectives and capability-building roadmaps that support organizational growth.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership teams on talent development, organizational readiness, and change enablement.
Learning & Content Strategy
- Lead the design and delivery of learning solutions and curricula that address identified skill needs across the enterprise.
- Oversee project scoping, training requirements, and implementation planning to ensure content is relevant, innovative, and scalable.
- Act as the HRIS liaison for Talent and Learning, ensuring systems support learning initiatives effectively.
- Partner with internal learning teams and subject matter experts to curate and create impactful, learner-centered experiences.
Change Management & Communication
- Manage the full change lifecycle for key business initiatives, driving smooth adoption and sustained performance outcomes.
- Develop and execute internal communication strategies that foster employee engagement, clarity, and alignment across HR and business units.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change and communication plans, making data-informed adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with market leaders and HR peers to support direct-to-employee communications, including newsletters, intranet content, and presentations.
Organizational Effectiveness
- Build and strengthen organizational capabilities to meet evolving business demands and strategic goals.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and performance improvement.
- Align talent development initiatives with workforce planning, succession strategies, and long-term organizational health.
- Partner with HR and Operations to forecast and report on the financial impact and ROI of learning programs and development efforts.
- Actively support, promote, and advance all aspects of Astound’s Inclusion and Belonging work, recognizing it as a business priority, including creating a work environment where all employees feel valued, respected, heard, and empowered.

What You Bring to the Table:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in learning and development, talent management, or organizational effectiveness.
- 5+ years in a leadership role overseeing cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Deep expertise in adult learning theory, instructional design, and curriculum development.
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen; able to translate organizational goals into learning strategies.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with experience leading internal communications and change initiatives.
- Proficiency in learning technologies, HRIS systems, and content development tools (e.g., LMS platforms, authoring tools).
- Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
- Data-driven mindset with experience in measuring learning impact and ROI.
- Proven experience partnering with business leaders to align learning strategies with organizational goals.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects with cross-functional teams.
- Proven understanding of the change management life cycle from inception to execution
- Demonstrated success in relationship management, consulting and eliciting business requirements.
- Consulting skills and a demonstrated customer service orientation toward internal clients.
- Demonstrated proficiency in critical thinking and creative problem solving.
- Demonstrates competence building relationships, influencing and obtaining buy-in from stakeholders at multiple levels of an organization and across diverse geographic locations.
- Proven competency with standard business applications such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
- Proven ability to work efficiently, effectively and proactively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, dynamic and virtual environment.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Base Salary: The base salary range for this position is $140,000 - $160,000 (annually), plus opportunities for bonus and benefits. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.
