Rancher Government is a complete open-source software stack for teams adopting containers. It addresses the operations and security challenges of managing multiple Kubernetes clusters at scale, while providing DevOps teams with integrated tools for running containerized workloads.
RGS supports all Rancher and SUSE products with U.S. based American citizens with the highest security clearances who are currently supporting programs across the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and civilian agencies.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Federal Inside Sales Representative to help support our rapid growth supporting the US Federal Government for our products and services. The candidate needs to be experienced in selling technology to the US Federal Government. They need to be coachable, a team player and have a positive attitude.
As an RGS Federal Inside Sales Representative (ISR) you will be working closely with your assigned Account Executive, Marketing and Support. You will learn to articulate Rancher’s value proposition to prospects and jump start their journey to becoming valued, paying customers. Generating net new opportunities will be your primary objective and the basis of your compensation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and manage a pipeline of specific sales territories
- Prospecting to expand footprint in territories
- Follow up on existing RGS leads generated through channel and marketing activities
- Ability to articulate the value of RGS
- Work closely with Channel partners to qualify, and understand prospects passed to RGS.
- Cross-collaboration with our teams to ensure proper cultivation of opportunities and customer success.
- Represent RGS as a trusted partner through demonstration of solid core values and mission understanding of our customers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-3 years in an IT sales role that includes direct selling experience to the Federal Government
- Experience using Salesforce to manage daily activity
