May require the ability to reach items above shoulder level and be able to lift up to 25 poundsShiftPrimary shifts Monday through Friday. Staff work a rotating schedule during operating hours with base hours of 40 hours per week which is a full-time benefitted position. Based on business needs and growth of the department, hours and days of the week required are subject to change. Shifts worked could require holidays and weekend rotations as needed with expansion of services.Job SummaryThis position will provide a variety of specialty pharmacy services including obtaining prior authorizations, enrolling patients in financial support programs, and coordinating first-time dispenses and refills for specialty medications prescribed within UK HealthCare. Will work closely with nurses, physicians, and UK Specialty Pharmacy staff to improve access to medications for a variety of subspecialty disease states. Assists service area leadership in administrative duties including training, coaching, and evaluating progress of new employee learning, retraining if needed, creating and maintaining service line SOPs, staff scheduling of techs and interns including call ins and arranging coverage as needed. Provides regular staff communication and assists with leading regular team meetings. Shall perform other miscellaneous job related tasks/activities as assigned by the supervising pharmacist.
