The Team
Fidelity Wealth’s Trade Management Engineering group is responsible for building world-class electronic trading solutions for Fidelity’s Capital Markets division. We are a high-performing, fast-paced technology team working with ground breaking tools to deliver low-latency, high-throughput trading platforms. Our work spans across internal and external teams to build flawless, end-to-end electronic trading workflows.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced software engineer in test to help with the design and development of next-generation trading systems. This is a hands-on role focused on building scalable, resilient, and high-performance trading infrastructure. You’ll collaborate across teams, mentor engineers, and drive innovation in a mission-critical environment.
The Expertise You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- 6+ years of hands-on software design and development experience as Test Engineer
- You are a strong test automation developer who have a greater understanding of the tools to build test automation
- You are experienced in Serenity Cucumber Framework, Selenium, Playwright or Cypress
- Experienced in Core Java and Java technologies
- Background in KDB+ or other time-series databases / vector databases
- Familiar with Linux environments and Unix shell scripting
- Experience with Capital Markets or Brokerage systems, especially order management
- Solid understanding of the FIX protocol and FIX engines
- Familiarity with AI developer assist tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot)
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory, and uDeploy

Dynamic Working
Fidelity’s hybrid working model blends the best of both onsite and offsite work experiences. Working onsite is important for our business strategy and our culture. We also value the benefits that working offsite offers associates. Most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of every other week in a Fidelity office.
The base salary range for this position is $60/hr - $80/hr.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.
