Job Summary

The STEPS Administrative Assistant will assist in the daily operations of the Leave Administration office. The Leave Administration office processes:


  • Family Medical Leave applications
  • Paid parental/eldercare awards
  • Workers compensation claims
  • Long term disability claims


Responsibilities may include:
  • Providing direct customer contact for FML Programs
  • Provide assistant to departments, employee and providers regarding University procedures
  • And more!

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

All basic computer (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), ability to learn SAP, and possibly some 3rd party systems as well.

Customer service skills.

A strong understanding of highly confidential data and HIPAA compliance.
