Job Purpose 

Rewarding counseling supervisory position that supports LPCs and LMFTs, both associates and fully licensed, as well as LMSWs and LCSWs.  Elevates clinicians’ skills and resources in supporting equitably children and families in community settings with a trauma focused approach.  Variable scheduling available to meet needs of children and families. 

Performs highly responsible administrative and supervisory duties in planning, coordinating, educating and directing programmatic services and resources.  Provides supervision of ECI Mental Health Consultant staff.  Works with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. 

This position assists and supports the ECI teams and divisions in serving children and families who need Mental Health Consultation. 

Essential Functions 

Provides programmatic and administrative supervision for ECI Mental Health Consultants. 

Recruits, hires and trains new ECI MHCs (ECI, TBRI, MHC, HealthySteps). 

Establishes and tracks productivity for ECI MHC staff. 

Provides and/or supports on-going training on MHC. 

Conducts team meetings for ECI MHC staff. 

Provides or arranges for reflective supervision for ECI MHC staff. 

Completes annual appraisals for ECI MHC staff. 

With Program Director, provides, manages and/or coordinates programmatic training. 

Trains on other research and evidence-based models as requested/assigned. 

Participates in or leads technical assistance and/or collaborative meetings with internal leadership and staff and external collaborators to reach fidelity implementation for ECI, MHC and TBRI.  

Supports and participates in community outreach promoting ECI and MHC. 

Keeps updated and current with ECI and ECC processes and procedures as well as pertinent rules and workplans for funding sources. 

Provides ECI and/or ECC visits and participates in team meetings, evaluations, IFSP/POC meetings as requested or assigned to assist with delivery of services to ECI and ECC families. 

Meets with ECI Program Directors and Senior Director for ECI regularly to address any current questions, concerns, or strategies for MHCs to best support ECI teams, staff, and families.   

Meets with Team Coordinators as requested to address team work, questions, concerns, strategies and support between MHCs and ECI staff assigned to the teams.

Minimum Requirements 

 Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in human services field 

Defined Education: Human Services field 

Preferences: Master’s Degree in clinical mental health field: Licensed Professional Counselor - Associate, Licensed Masters Social Worker or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate; Trust Based Relational Intervention Practitioner 

Substitutions: None 

Years’ Experience: 5 years of experience in ECI or equivalent early childhood system 

Defined Experience: ECI or equivalent early childhood system as a direct service provider or supervisor/manager 

License/Certifications: preferred provisional/full license or working toward Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Master/Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist  

Special Courses:  

Supervisory Experience: none required 

Agency Requirements

All staff are required to participate in agency Emergency Preparedness and Environmental Safety programs and may be assigned by their department as a key/essential staff level function during critical events or for the purpose of sustaining business continuity. 

This position may require temporary or permanent re-assignment to any MHMR Tarrant facility as determined by program needs and/or the Division/Director. 

Assigned work hours may change as the needs of the agency change. 

The Functional Title of this position may change as the needs of the agency change. 

All work will be completed within the scheduled work hours. All non-exempt (hourly) employees are expected to clock in and clock out for each work shift, no work should be done off the clock. 

Prior approval from supervisor is required for all Paid Time Off (PTO) and Overtime.
