This individual will also be responsible to identify and leverage opportunities to utilize AI for innovation and growth across Lundbeck US.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<ul><li>Design, train, test, and deploy AI/ML models and algorithms to generate actionable insights for business teams and optimize existing processes.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, software developers, and product managers, to understand business requirements, design AI solutions, and ensure successful integration of AI-driven solutions.</li><li>Conduct thorough data exploration and preprocessing and identify features to improve model performance.</li><li>Fine-tune and optimize models for production environments to meet performance, speed, and scalability goals.</li><li>Apply state-of-the-art machine learning techniques, including neural networks, reinforcement learning, and unsupervised learning, to solve complex business problems.</li><li>Monitor and evaluate model performance, implementing improvements based on feedback and results.</li><li>Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning research, and proactively identify areas where AI solutions can improve efficiency and effectiveness across various business functions.</li><li>Contribute to the development of an AI strategy that aligns with business goals and drives value across various functions.</li><li>Document AI models, methodologies, and processes, ensuring that best practices are shared within the team and the broader organization.</li><li>Foster a culture of continuous learning, sharing knowledge and contributing to the development of junior data scientists.</li></ul>REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and SKILLS:<ul><li>Accredited&nbsp; bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, etc.).</li><li>4+ years of relevant experience in AI/ML model development, deployment, and optimization.</li><li>Strong hands-on experience with AI/ML algorithms, NLP, Deep Learning, and large language models (LLMs).</li><li>Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.</li><li>Experience in working with cloud platforms and MLOps for model deployment.</li><li>Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.</li><li>Ability to tackle complex problems independently, providing practical and scalable AI solutions.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to translate data into business insights.</li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>Strong collaboration skills, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.</li></ul>PREFERRED&nbsp;EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and SKILLS:<ul><li>Experience leading projects or teams and collaborating with non-direct reports to achieve project goals.</li><li>Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.</li><li>Previous experience working in the pharmaceutical or biotech industries is preferred.</li><li>In-depth experience working with pharmaceutical datasets (first-party patient data, third-party claims, EHR, demand data).</li><li>Familiarity with regulatory standards in the pharmaceutical industry (e.g., GxP, ALCOA+).</li><li>7+ years of relevant experience in AI/ML model development, deployment, and optimization.</li></ul>TRAVEL:<ul><li>Willingness/Ability to travel up to 20% domestically.
