The PCO group encompasses broad scientific expertise in DMPK, toxicology, pharmaceutics, and focuses on advancing new targets in drug discovery. The successful candidate will work within a team of bioanalytical scientists that collaborate across the PCO disciplines in collaboration with discovery biology and chemistry.&nbsp; The candidate is expected to have an in-depth understanding of qualitative and quantitative approaches using chromatography and high-resolution mass spectrometry with advanced data interpretation skills. This position will have responsibilities for defining and executing bioanalytical strategies best suited for quantitation of large molecule drugs and biotherapeutics, specifically focusing on antibodies and ADCs (Antibody Drug Conjugates).Job Responsibilities:The successful applicant will be primarily responsible for the following:<ul><li>Assay-development and quantification of large molecule drugs, biologics, and ADCs from biological samples (plasma/serum, tissue homogenates, DBS, etc.) using ligand binding assays (LBAs)</li><li>Expert operation of ligand binding assay instruments</li><li>Operation of triple quadrupole mass spectrometers and high-resolution instruments is a plus</li><li>Data processing and reporting</li><li>Collaborate in a multidisciplinary research environment to address bioanalytical issues related to</li><li>discovery programs and provide input into bioanalytical strategies</li><li>Maintain good laboratory practices and documentation (Electronic Lab Notebook)</li></ul>Job Requirements/Education:<ul><li>This position requires a degree in analytical chemistry, biochemistry or related discipline and industry experience, PhD 0-5 years and BS/MS 2-10 years, with emphasis on quantitative ligand binding assays</li><li>Hands-on experience with different sample preparation procedures such as protein precipitation, liquid-liquid extraction, solid-phase extraction and immunocapture approaches</li><li>Experience with ligand binding assay readers</li><li>Experience with mass spectrometers is a plus</li><li>Ability to independently diagnose and solve complex technical and scientific problems</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor instrument repairs to maintain highest performance and minimize downtime</li><li>Self-motivated with excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience.
