Tooling Specialist V, Machine Build- 1st Shift

ResponsibilitiesLocate, pull, and place tool orders based on manufacturing requirements. Stock internal and external tooling, record location into system as required. Incumbent will be held to established quality standards. Incumbent will have moderate control to adjust the process after tasks are assigned.&nbsp; May have access to confidential company information.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul> <li>Counts materials, components, stock, and label per manufacturing requirements.</li> <li>Works with Production Planner, Manufacturing Engineers, Department Supervisors and Leads.</li> <li>Utilizes dispatch list to order required tools in advance of manufacturing requirements.</li> <li>Ensure that appropriate inventory records on tools are properly maintained.&nbsp;</li> <li>Take appropriate corrective action to resolve discrepancies on new tools.</li> <li>Receives B/P changes, purges all part inventory and contact engineer for disposition of any / all non-conforming parts.</li> <li>Ensures all tooling prints are to specifications and are current and available for use.</li> <li>Participates in continuous improvement activities to improve tool ordering process.&nbsp;</li> <li>Keeps work area safe, neat and clean. Adheres to all safety precaution.&nbsp;</li> <li>Perform other tasks as needed in support of manufacturing operations, customer and suppliers</li> <li>Coordinates tooling quotes with suppliers under directions of Purchasing Department and initiates tooling requisitions.</li> <li>Performs other tasks of equal or lesser skill as required.</li></ul>QualificationsBasic Qualifications<ul> <li>Three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li> <li>Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
