Are you ready to take on the challenge to help us build the future?<h4>Responsibilities</h4><ul><li>Delivers the preparation of assigned sections in the financial statements papers and proper documentation to support filings with the SEC</li><li>Analyze supporting disclosure data ensuring disclosures are in compliance with GAAP requirements, and review XBRL tagging</li><li>Plan and prepare other external financial reports</li><li>Contributes to internal management reports including those sent to the Board of Directors </li><li>Ensures internal policies and procedures related to financial reporting are being upheld </li><li>Collaborates cross-functionally with other teams to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial and SEC reporting</li><li>Delivers Accounting Research on financial reporting and documents results to be used in position papers </li><li>Reviews and identifies impact to SCE from new regulations, guidance, and other publications issued by governmental bodies such as the SEC on critical matters impacting SCE </li><li>Leads the implementation of new accounting and disclosure standards and policies impacting financial reporting while documenting results to be shared with key stakeholders </li><li>Implements proposed changes or potential process improvements to streamline the financial and SEC reporting processes </li><li>A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.</li></ul><h4>Minimum Qualifications</h4><ul><li>Seven or more years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or financial reporting.</li><li>Experience with interpreting and applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.</li><li>CPA or equivalent certification&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with ERP systems such as SAP </li><li>Experience with working in Workiva reporting tool</li><li>Experience with interpreting and applying Uniform System of Accounts under Federal Energy Regulatory Commission</li><li>Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis</li></ul>Additional Information<ul><li>This position’s work mode is&nbsp;hybrid.&nbsp;The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and&nbsp;reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.&nbsp;The work mode can be changed based on business needs.</li><li>Visit our&nbsp;Candidate Resource&nbsp;page to get meaningful information related to benefits, perks, resources, testing information, hiring process, and more!</li><li>Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.</li></ul><ul><li>Relocation does not apply to this position.</li></ul>About Southern California EdisonThe people at SCE don't just keep the lights on.
