We are looking for a highly organized, relationship driven Development Manager to join our West Market Development team. Reporting to the Development Associate Director, this role plays a key part in supporting and strengthening our major and principal gift donor relationships across the West Market, which includes a growing portfolio of donors across 10+ states, with primary focus on the donor base in the state of California. The West Market team is based in the greater Los Angeles area, providing a strong local presence to support our work across the region.
The Development Manager will help cultivate and steward meaningful relationships with donors, prospects, volunteer leaders, and chef champions – ensuring our supporters feel connected, appreciated, and inspired to deepen their investment in our mission.
In this role, you’ll manage essential fundraising operations, including donor tracking, database management, reporting, and event support. You’ll also play a hands-on role in signature events like the LA No Kid Hungry Dinner, as well as smaller cultivation and stewardship events throughout the year.
This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives on details but also enjoys building relationships and contributing to a high performing, mission driven team. Flexibility to travel within the region and occasional evening or weekend hours will be required to support donor events and volunteer engagement.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 <li>Manage and grow a portfolio (~50 constituents) of major donors and prospects giving $10,000+, to meet or exceed annual revenue goals. Develop and implement individualized donor strategies and annual plans, in partnership with program and development teams. Collaborate with the Prospect Research &amp; Portfolio Management team to support portfolio growth and ensure a healthy donor pipeline across the West Market.</li>
 <li>Partner with the West Market team to drive revenue for the annual LA No Kid Hungry Dinner, one of the organization’s premier culinary events, including securing table sponsorships, ticket sales, and implementing a robust donor stewardship strategy.</li>
 <li>Oversee event communications and logistics, including invitations, guest lists, website content, email and social media outreach, and RSVP tracking.</li>
 <li>Provide on-site event support, including donor check in, stewardship, and auction item management.</li>
 <li>Manage the Emerging Leaders donor group, a new initiative to secure the next generation of funders from the LA area, including volunteer engagement, event coordination, and donor stewardship to support revenue generation and leadership development. </li>
 <li>Collaborate with colleagues across Resource Development &amp; Growth (RDG) to create meaningful engagement opportunities for donors and prospects. </li>
 <li>Provide personalized stewardship to donors and volunteer leaders, ensuring timely acknowledgment and communication that fosters long term relationships.</li>
 <li>Maintain accurate donor and gift records in Raiser’s Edge, including entering contact reports, tracking donations, generating reports, and updating donor information to ensure effective donor management and timely acknowledgments.</li>
 <li>Process gift transmittal forms, invoices, check requests, and other administrative tasks to support efficient and compliant fundraising operations.</li>

Are you ready to take on the challenge to help us build the future?<h4>Responsibilities</h4><ul><li>Oversees engineers performing diagnostics, monitoring and inspecting equipment, and reviewing grid technologies, building relationships to facilitate cross-functional knowledge transfer of related work groups</li><li>Leads the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and other documentation to communicate project status, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders</li><li>Collaborate and lead with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless development, integration and implementation of future technologies and asset performance management strategies</li><li>Assists in a variety of engineering and business initiatives and grid strategies, including development of innovative procedures and design recommendations</li><li>Provides support for new equipment installation and startup, then leads the hand over processes to the ramp and sustaining phases</li><li>Leads junior engineers in investigation of threats on the distribution system infrastructure based on observations and findings</li><li>Gathers and correlates basic data using engineering studies and procedures, which may include routine and diagnostic testing of components and systems</li><li>Facilitates training and professional development opportunities for engineering team members to enhance their skills and knowledge</li><li>A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.</li></ul><h4>Minimum Qualifications</h4><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Bachelor's Degree in a scientific/technical/math field.</li><li>Seven or more years of experience performing engineering work in operations, production, construction or maintenance environments.</li><li>Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Master’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related discipline</li><li>Experience with one or more of the following areas: </li><li><ul><li>Leading grid modernization and digitalization initiatives</li><li>Experience with asset management, including maintenance strategies, lifecycle planning, and risk assessments. </li><li>Experience with utility planning, engineering, and execution </li></ul></li><li>Demonstrated ability to develop and execute enterprise-level roadmaps aligned with long-term grid transformation strategies and clean energy goals. </li><li>Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with internal stakeholders (e.g., engineering, IT) and external partners.</li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts and deliver technical presentations to both a technical and non-technical audience, including external settings.</li><li>Work effectively in areas where processes are not clearly defined, self-starter.</li><li>Stay current with relevant technology and innovation.</li><li>Strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.</li></ul>Additional Information<ul><li>This position’s work mode is hybrid.
