Description Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Nuclear Engineer to work on our Reactor Technology &amp; Integration team. Our team works a 9x80 or &nbsp;schedule located out of our Engineering Research Office Building (EROB) in Idaho Falls, ID with every other Friday off.&nbsp; In this roll, you will apply nuclear engineering principles and methods to design, develop, test, and analyze nuclear equipment and systems. Conduct research on new materials of special interest in radiation detection, nuclear fuels, and reactors. Perform studies related to the detection and control of radiation and radioactive contaminants. Study nuclear fuel cycle to define most economical uses of material and safest means of waste products disposal as well as challenges and approaches related to safeguards and verification of fuel cycle nonproliferation measures. Responsibilities Include: <ul><li>Work with designers, analysts, and customers to develop experimental requirements or to develop packaging and handling requirements for spent nuclear fuel.</li><li>Select and widely apply advanced nuclear engineering design principles, theories, and concepts (which may include reactor fuel and packaging).
