POSITION SUMMARY This position serves as a key liaison between the college and partner high schools, working closely with school administrators, students, and parents to support Dual Enrollment, Dual Credit and Early College initiatives. This position will also support post-secondary student transition to Nashville State Community College.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Build and communicate clear academic pathways from High School into Nashville State Community College academic programs that lead to credential and degree completion. Support increasing early postsecondary opportunities from early high school grades to Nashville State. Create and implement success plans with students and high school counselors from early high school grades to Nashville State that support student success and help students bridge the gap between the completion of high school and beginning a postsecondary degree or credential at Nashville State Community College.
Serve as the liaison between New Skills Ready high schools and Nashville State, developing strong relationships with the high schools. Plan and coordinate events, activities and meetings with MNPS faculty and administration, students, parents and Nashville State. Assist students, parents and MNPS high school advisors, principals and staff with the admissions process, including the dual enrollment grant and the Middle College Scholarship. Facilitate good working relationships with high school faculty and administration and Nashville State faculty and staff. Serve on Nashville State and community-based organizations and committees that are relevant to Early Post-Secondary Opportunities for K12 students.

This regular, twelve-month, part-time (85%) position is responsible for assisting the Head Baseball Coach with organizing and coaching the baseball team and assisting the college with student and community engagement opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assists with the supervision of practices and games.
Provides instruction to student-athletes as directed by the head baseball coach.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
Actively encourages academic success and degree completion among student athletes. Monitors study hall attendance and faculty progress reports for student-athletes.
Assist with the transport of athletic teams to and from games and tournaments.
Assists with the supervision of team activities.
Assists with equipment inventory and maintenance.
Assists with field maintenance and preparation.
Assists in coordinating fundraising activities following state and DSCC policies.
Participate in the annual athletic awards program.
Assists in maintaining program compliance with NJCAA and TCCAA eligibility criteria and reporting as requested by the head baseball coach.
Serves as the website content manager for baseball.
Assist with student-athlete recruitment and retention under the direction of the head baseball coach. &nbsp;
Plan and execute a yearly youth baseball camp fundraiser in the summer. Work with the college public relations department each spring to plan appropriate and timely promotion of the camp.

60% Golf Program Management • Serve as men’s head golf coach including recruiting, organization of practice, match scheduling, management of operating budget, and fundraising. • Supervise the assistant golf coach or coaches. • Responsible for care and maintenance of golf equipment used by the program. • Tracks records, and statistics for both team and individuals. • Work closely with the athletic director to schedule personal and team travel. • Present for all practices, matches, and tournaments.
25% Student Athlete &amp; Academic Management • Monitor golf student-athlete progress including class attendance, academic performance, personal adjustment and financial aid management • to Coordinate and monitor student study, athletic tutoring and classroom performance. • Work with student athletes aid placement at the University level
10% Student Athlete Conduct • Responsible for student conduct on the field of play • Accountable for making sure all student athletes are following the latest sport rules and guidelines with a focus on sportsmanship
5% Community Involvement • Involved in the local golf community. • Promotes the Pellissippi golf program in a positive manner in the local community.

Minimum Qualifications:
M.L.S. or equivalent degree from an institution accredited by the American Library Association. Two years of experience with integrated library systems, OCLC, Library of Congress subject headings and classification system.

Academic library experience. Experience with OpenAthens authentication system. Administrative Certification for ExLibris ALMA.

General Summary

<li>Develop and maintain the program curriculum. Maintain an active advisory committee that meets twice a year and covers industry and program needs.</li>
<li>Professional Growth: Remain current within assigned instruction, related occupational areas, and technologies; acquire, maintain, and apply knowledge of current instructional methodologies and materials; attend scheduled college, divisional, professional development, and in-service activities; and participate in the annual faculty evaluation process.</li>
