Title:&nbsp;Academic Tutoring - Tutor I, Tutor II, Tutor III (Temporary Part-Time) Position Summary:&nbsp;Tutor students to improve their academic performance, retention, and graduation rates. Department:&nbsp;Academic Tutoring
Location:&nbsp;Tutors will work from one or more of the five Pellissippi State campuses or virtually.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;
Pay Rate:&nbsp;
Tutor I: Less than 1 year of experience, $16.00 per hour
Tutor II: 1-3 years of experience, $17 per hour
Tutor III: 3+ years of experience, $19 per hour
Duties and&nbsp;Responsibilities:
90% – Tutor students&nbsp;individually and in groups. Adapt tutoring methods to meet students’ varying needs and interests. Tutor through questioning, discussion, and demonstration. 4% – Complete tutor training activities and submit required paperwork.
2% – Communicate with Academic Tutoring personnel.
2% – Visit classes and attend events to promote tutoring services. 1% – Confer with other tutors and teachers to resolve students’ problems.
1% – Refer students to other departments/resources within the College. Note: The College&nbsp;reserves the right to change or reassign job duties, or combine positions at any time. Required&nbsp;Qualifications:
