Position Summary: To provide quality instruction for student learning and to maintain a positive learning environment in the classroom. The major emphasis will be placed on teaching and evaluating students in the classroom and laboratories.

Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Planning and teaching classes as assigned and as outlined in the course descriptions and course syllabi. 2. Supervising the study and learning activities of assigned students. 3. Submitting requests through the department head, program coordinator, or lead teacher for equipment, supplies, textbooks, and other instructional aids. 4. Evaluating the academic progress of students. 5. Demonstrating knowledge of services, regulations, and procedures as defined in the Adjunct Faculty Handbook. 6. Submitting course grades and performing other administrative duties as required. 7. Scheduling two office hours. For extenuating circumstances in which office hours cannot be scheduled, the adjunct faculty member must submit a written plan to the dean describing how students can access the instructor. Office hours are not paid during the summer session.
Required Qualifications: 1. Associate's Degree

3. Possess a current CST certification by the Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
4. Have a minimum total of two years’ experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five years

Job Summary
The Academic Navigator (12-month position) supports students in college-level gateway math courses throughout the academic year (fall, spring, and summer), in all modalities by providing personalized assistance and facilitating active learning to help students reach their educational goals. The Academic Navigator works with students in a variety of tutoring settings, such as individual or group sessions or in virtual environments, to enhance students’ understanding of the material and help students develop study skills and strategies. The Navigator assists in creating a collaborative learning environment by working with faculty in the discipline area to determine concept and skill areas of highest need, monitoring student progress, and providing feedback to both students and faculty to improve overall academic performance. The Navigator will also participate in student success initiatives related to academic readiness, placement, and preparation.
Job Duties

Title: Student Resource Manager
POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for assessing students’ non-academic needs and coordinating and developing holistic supports and services to meet those needs. Tracks and assesses student needs across all campuses, and partners with community organizations and the college foundation to provide supports.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provides student case management for services and referrals to both campus-based and community services, including mental health needs, health services, housing assistance, food insecurity and childcare for the College’s entire service region and campuses. Advises student support coordinator and student success advisors in creating and implementing student success plans. Identifies and develops partnerships with community agencies to build a structured system of coordinated supports for students. Develops and presents student support workshops and presentations. Provides information and workshops at student events.
Serves on the College’s Behavioral Intervention Team and assists with crisis planning and student intervention as needed. Upon request, provides information and recommendations to the Title IX Coordinator/Deputy Title IX Coordinator regarding available student resources/supports and assists Title IX officers with connecting students to resources/supports as needed. Utilizes student records systems to track students and student support service usage and success. Prepares reports and presents data regarding program usage and assessment to internal and external audiences. Oversees student support services budget and supervises the student resource coordinator. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Master’s degree in social work, counseling or related field.
Experience working with a wide range of student or client population delivering direct support services.

POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for full-cycle accounts payable processing.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform 3-way match for vendor invoices, ensuring invoices are accurate and goods/services are received. Input all invoices, including utilities, in the database system. Monitor accounts to ensure that vendors are paid according to payment terms. POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for the planning and design of a Power BI dashboard to present metrics on credentials earned at Nashville State Community College. The project will require an analysis of similar products at comparable institutions, discussions with stakeholders about project needs, product development, process documentation, and relevant presentations/trainings.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Communicates with faculty, staff, administrators, and external partners to understand their data needs and determines how best to support their programs. Understands the available resources that can be applied to this project and works with stakeholders to provide an accurate and insightful solution.
Assembles and executes SQL code from the NSCC code repository to gather necessary data. Develops and supports data visualizations, including Power BI dashboards. Writes complete and understandable documentation of the process and product. Presents information in a professional manner to the college community.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS A declared major at the associate’s degree level in data science, computer information technology, or a related field with at least thirty (30) completed credit hours.
Understanding of relational databases and experience writing queries in SQL, Python, or R.
Six (6) months experience in college activities like tutoring, work study, or course support activities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience in data manipulation and visualization, utilizing Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.

      Economics 9/10 Month Tenure Track Faculty (Fall 2026)
    

Title: Director of Web and Enterprise Applications
Institution:&nbsp;Volunteer State Community College
Job Summary:
This position will direct and supervise programming support and administration for the college’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and 3rd party connected applications systems ensuring users can complete their work in a timely and efficient manner. The incumbent will oversee communications, planning, implementation and project management for these systems and applications and manage staff for both ERP applications support and web development.
Job Duties:
Provide guidance and recommendations to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for data and information security as it relates to ERP and 3rd party systems and applications. Direct and supervise staff by providing goals and direction. Organize and assign ERP, connected systems, and web administrative tasks, ensure project-related tasks are completed on time. Design, write, modify and/or implement in-house and vendor-supplied application systems and programs using standard programming, query, and scripting languages. Recommend and/or implement procedures and policies regarding system integrity, security issues and improved department efficiency and service as it relates to ERP and connected systems. Develop understandable and detailed procedure documentation. Analyze and determine feasibility of programming requests, make appropriate recommendations. Research solutions to processes, procedures, programming issues, and problems. Administration of ERP and integrated 3rd party systems in a Ellucian Banner environment. Supervision of the implementation and maintenance of database packages, compilers and other layered product computer applications including, but not limited to: Ellucian Banner, eVisions MAPS applications, Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle, PowerShell, Web and application server environments, Microsoft IIS, Apache Server, Apache Tomcat, HTML, Java, and Java Script. Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in an information systems related discipline with three (3) years of relational database programming experience using SQL, PL/SQL, and/or HTML and PHP; OR Associate’s degree in an information systems related discipline and five (5) years of relational database programming experience using SQL, PL/SQL, and/or HTML and PHP. Three (3) years of supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with languages such as Java and JavaScript. Experience in developing dynamic web applications using languages such as HTML or PHP. Experience with Ellucian Banner 9 Application development. Experience with Ellucian Ethos platform. Experience in Higher Education. Subject matter expertise in the requirements of an academic institution particularly as they relate to the administration of student data. Experience within the College System of Tennessee (TBR). Experience in preparing documentation and training materials. 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be a willing advocate of the mission of the college. Ability to use a variety of advanced techniques and tools to achieve desired application functionality and perform technical problem solving for functional team members. Technical depth and breadth in middleware administration, software development, and project management coupled with flexibility. Ability to analyze user information technology needs to design new or modify current applications systems. Ability to communicate technical material in a clear manner to non-technical individuals. Ability to develop and maintain positive collaborative working environment. Prioritization skills and capacity to manage multiple deadlines. Ability to perform with limited direction, self-starter. Demonstrated customer service skills in past work history. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as operation/maintenance manuals, equipment specifications and procedure manuals. Ability to work after hours support, as may be necessary.
Pay Rate: $75,057 - $93,821 annual salary depending on experience

4. Evaluating students using a variety of methods and informing each student of scores received on each assessment in a timely manner.

Qualifications:&nbsp;
A Master’s degree in Political Science from a regionally accredited institution or Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of related qualifying fields. Three years teaching experience preferred.&nbsp; Experience with alternative delivery instructional modes recommended – hybrid, online, interactive, etc.
