This position also works with Postpartum Supervisor to connect with local hospitals to provide “Bundle of Joy” postpartum boxes to new parents in the 4-county area and educate the community about perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Requirements:
Minimum requirements desired for this position include: LMSW or LPC license required. Clinical supervision can be provided by the agency for those who want to work towards their LCSW or LPC license. This position must have competence in conducting assessments, service planning and providing case management and parenting psychoeducation delivery to families. The ability to work with a variety of human problems and competence in managing crisis intervention is required. Under supervision, the intern will learn all functional aspects of Academy systems and have a theoretical and practical understanding of their capabilities. The intern will be competent and confident enough to work independently, assessing materials, making descriptive decisions, and completing all aspects of the cataloging process by the end of their internship. This is a limited-term internship position beginning in June 2026 through August 2026. Internship Goals:<ul><li>Proficiency cataloging in the Axiell database.</li><li>Digitizing materials according to institutional standards.</li><li>Creating Metadata templates.</li><li>Importing and editing records.</li><li>Quality control of records based on institutional style guides and standards. </li></ul>Learning Outcomes:<ul><li>Develop and apply critical thinking skills in preparation for professional practice.</li><li>Demonstrate understanding of the processes by which information is created, evaluated, and disseminated. </li><li>Organize, create, archive, and manage collections of information resources following professional standards.</li><li>Search, retrieve, and produce information from a variety of systems and sources.</li><li>Integrate emerging technologies into professional practice. </li></ul>Essential Functions of the Job:&nbsp;<ul><li>Accessioning, digitizing, cataloging, and circulating library materials (e.g., scripts, books, periodicals, ephemera, clippings, etc.). </li><li>Cataloging in the Axiell database. </li><li>Supports and performs clerical tasks that support the life cycle of library materials managed by the Core Collection department. </li></ul>Required Competencies: &nbsp;<ul><li>Candidates must be enrolled in an ALA-accredited master’s degree program in library and information science.</li><li>A bachelor’s degree in film studies, history, art history, or a related field preferred. </li><li>A minimum of 3.0 GPA.</li><li>Coursework in descriptive cataloging or description of archival collections and knowledge of archival best practices, preservation standards, and current developments.</li><li>Knowledge of current metadata and descriptive standards.</li><li>Familiarity with content and digital asset management systems.</li><li>Knowledge of American and international film history.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills. </li><li>Set priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently and collaboratively.</li></ul>Required Vaccination:&nbsp;Full vaccination against COVID-19 is required, including any booster vaccinations as applicable. Department: Film Archive Reports to: Senior Awards Collection Curator Job Type: Seasonal&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Job Classification: Hourly (Non-exempt)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Workplace Location: Los Angeles – Pickford Compensation: $17.87 per hour Summary/Objective: The Awards Collection Intern will assist with the cataloging and inspection of moving images related to the Academy Awards and other awards the Academy presents. The Intern will view files from various awards-related events to verify their content and improve their cataloging. This will involve adding copy histories, summaries, timecode logs, and notes to the Archive's collection management system. The intern will also inspect a small collection of award-related film elements. The internship is based at the Academy's Pickford Center for Motion Picture Studies in Hollywood. This is a limited-term internship position beginning in June 2026 through August 2026.&nbsp; Essential Functions of the Job:&nbsp; <ul><li>Verify and describe content in the Academy’s data management system.</li><li>Use online resources such as our press photos to better identify attendees in our event recordings.</li><li>View and compare audiotapes, videotapes, and files using various audio and videotape decks as well as Open Text Media Management.</li><li>Work with the Curator to address other cataloging issues as discovered.</li><li>Basic film inspection training. </li><li>General support to other archive projects as they come up. </li></ul>Required Competencies:<ul><li>Currently enrolled in a graduate-level moving image preservation or MLIS program.</li><li>A minimum overall GPA of 3.0. </li><li>Excellent written communication and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively with attention to detail.</li><li>Self-motivated, dependable, and efficient with good problem-solving skills.</li></ul> &nbsp; Physical Demands:<ul><li>Ability to move moderately heavy boxes (20 lbs.) to and from high and low shelves. </li><li>Remain in a stationary position at a computer and enter data for long periods of time. </li></ul> Required Vaccination:&nbsp;Full vaccination against COVID-19 is required, including any booster vaccinations as applicable.
