<li>Develops curricula and instructional material such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.</li>
<li>Maintains office hours for students seeking academic advice, assists in student recruitment and retention; and assists students with course-related problems outside of the classroom.</li>
<li>Maintains accurate student attendance records, grades, and other required records in compliance with federal FERPA regulations.</li>
<li>Attends all faculty meetings, college assemblies, professional development and orientation activities, and other meetings as called by the President, Dean or Department Chair.</li>
<li>Keeps abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.</li>
<li>Participates in departmental and college committees; and provides outreach service to the community.</li>
<li>May perform other duties as assign by Department Head/Dean.</li>

Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Master's Degree from an accredited institution with 18 hours of graduate-level coursework in physics or Master’s Degree with a major in physics. </li>
<li>Demonstrated excellence in lecture and laboratory teaching at the community college level is preferred.</li>
</ul>
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
<ul>
<li>Candidates will demonstrate the knowledge and ability to convey complex physics concepts to our student population, including selecting and implementing training and instructional methods appropriate for learning or teaching new concepts to our student population.</li>
<li> Candidates must possess the ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written forms and use technology for lecture and laboratory instruction.</li>
<li>Additional responsibilities include preparing course materials such as homework assignments and delivering lecture and laboratory instruction according to an approved course syllabus. </li>
<li>Candidates will demonstrate the ability to compile, administer and grade assigned coursework fairly and consistently and keep students informed about their progress through prompt grading of examinations and other work. </li>
<li>Additionally, candidates will demonstrate their ability to manage student records and carry out the mission of the college or department.</li>
