Compensation

The base hourly rate for this position is $20.50.

Responsible for the safe operation of an asphalt coater machine.

  • Always assists machine operator.
  • Loads full rolls of paper on unwind machine.
  • Reviews the quality of the paper to make sure quality specifications are met.
  • Sets up automatic splicing machine and operating parameters.
  • Threads paper and assists operator at web breaks.
  • Assists operator to setup and run the printing section.
  • Assists in all product changeovers.
  • Checks product parameters to make sure production specifications are met.
  • Control waste flow to paper baler, operate paper bailer.
  • Unloads master rolls from down under equipment, uses overhead hoist to locate rolls at cuffers (1,2,3).
  • Perform 5S and housekeeping functions while machine operates.
  • Operate a touch screen display and make minor control adjustments to maintain paper tension and asphalt flow.
  • Follow safety practices and use required PPE.
