As a 340B Compliance specialist within East Central Public Health District, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.

Job Responsibilities

All East Central Health District 6 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event including but not limited to: staffing a shelter, working at a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or working at a Point of Dispensing site (POD). If you are called on to participate, you are required to report to the designated site as a condition of employment, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.

Primary Job responsibilities
Provides oversight for the 340B Program.
• Serves as primary internal and external program coordinator and liaison for all 340B-related matters.
• Serves as the institutional “compliance expert or authority” on 340B regarding program details,
policies, and procedures of the inventory processes required for mixed-use areas.
• Serves as primary internal liaison to help ensure appropriate utilization of the 340B Program and
compliance with all program requirements.
• Acts as the liaison with necessary affiliated departments to ensure 340B Program integrity.
• Provides expertise with the 340B Program to staff regarding ongoing compliance.
• Develops and maintains internal relationships (accounting, billing, etc) and external relationships
(wholesalers, manufacturers, contract pharmacies, etc.) as needed.
• Acts as a liaison to the department of pharmacy and county health departments as well as with the
organization’s purchasing office.
• Actively engages with leadership and participates in decision-making processes related to the
implementation of new 340B processes.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma/GED and three (3) years of job-related experience; or two (2) years of
experience required at the lower level Complnc Specialist 1 (RCP060) or position equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications
Public Health clinical or programmatic management. Federal or state budget management.
Knowledge and experience working with 340B and contract experience highly preferred.

DPH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered. DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degree, diploma, licensure, etc.
