Rancher Government Solutions (RGS) addresses the unique security and operational needs of the U.C. Government and military by providing world class solutions to support application modernization, hybrid cloud deployments, container security and Kubernetes distribution management.

Rancher is a leading Enterprise Kubernetes Software Platform Suite. The Rancher platform addresses the operations and security challenges of managing multiple Kubernetes clusters at scale, while providing DevOps teams with integrated tools for running and securing containerized workloads.

RGS supports the entire Rancher Kubernetes Platform Suite through US Citizen/US soil support representatives. A large majority of RGS employees contain security clearances and are currently supporting programs across the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and Federal Civilian agencies.


RGS is looking for a Sales Account Executive for its IC Sales Team. The role will be responsible for Collaborating with our customers and technical delivery teams to grow existing revenues, as well as drive new revenues for RGS solutions. 


  • Develop relationships within the IC.
  • Responsible for Quarter over Quarter revenue growth.
  • Work closely with account solutions architects to identify key projects, programs, and offices to sell RGS solution stack. 
  • Be the primary customer facing advocate who creates possibilities, solves problems, and establishes strategic relationships
  • Discover and analyze customers' business and technical problems and apply appropriate RGS solutions to address their needs
  • Provide trusted thought leadership both internally within RGS and with our customers
  • Responsible for Strategic Account Planning 
  • Develop new solutions strategies within key accounts to establish proofs-of-concepts and pilot implementations
  • Responsible for entire sales process lifecycle: from demand generation to deal closure
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience selling IT solutions to US Government.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience selling enterprise software solutions to IC customers. Preferred experience is around Kubernetes or DevSecOps environments but is not a requirement.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a record of developing relationships at engineering, program management and executive levels.
  • Strong domain knowledge of IC.
  • Strong desire to work on a highly collaborative team
