Hiring/Budgeted Salary or Hourly Range: The budgeted salary range that the university expects to pay for this position is $24.52 - $25.52.
Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience; the budget for the position; and the application of fair, equitable, and consistent pay practices at the university.

We are seeking a Temporary Accounting Specialist to work remotely on a full-time 37.5-hour per week basis. This position is a temporary position lasting for up to two years.
Summary
The Accounting/AP Specialist position requires a solid accounting foundation with a good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This position is key in supporting Finance and Accounting Department with most of the accounting functions including processing, recording, updating, validating, interpreting, analyzing and reconciling financial information in compliance with established policies; providing accounting support to accounts payable and analyzing and reconciling the bank positions and posting to the GL accounts.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, economics, finance or related field.
- Minimum two years’ experience with computerized accounting systems.
- Understanding of accrual accounting, standard financial policies and procedures, and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Outstanding organizational, problem solving and math skills.
- Excel and Word skills.
- Able to perform accurate data entry with strong detail orientation.
- Must have Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) knowledge
