America's Test Kitchen is seeking a detail-oriented individual with excellent time management and organizational skills for the position of Accounting Manager. This position reports to the Controller and is responsible for managing the accounting staff and processes while ensuring the company's books and records are maintained accurately and timely.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Meet monthly and annual financial objectives timely and accurately by managing the financial close process.
- Monitor and review company expenses and revenue
- Assist in preparing supporting analysis, financial statements and ad hoc reporting as required
- Manage accounting staff to ensure growth of the team
- Oversee and manage end to end payroll process
- Assist in ensuring controls are sufficient and current
- Achieve operational objectives by identifying deficiencies and proposing efficiency improvements
- Assist in managing year end audit
Skills and Experience:
- BS/BA (or equivalent) in accounting, finance or business
- 3+ years of experience in the field of accounting
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with industry standard accounting software, including Excel
- Familiarity with standard payroll software
- Customer service and problem resolution skills
- Basic working knowledge of GAAP Accounting.
- Flexibility during peak periods.
This position is located in our Boston, MA office in the Seaport district. It is the expectation that the person in this role will work a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) in the office and 2 days per week remotely.
