Position Summary Brief Description of PSU/School/DeptUniversity Housing & Residence Life (UHRL) acts as stewards of the student experience and provides exceptional residential communities within a unique urban setting. UHRL encompasses 5 buildings which house approximately 1400 residents.

Position SummaryThe Accounts Coordinator is part of the University Housing & Residence Life team. This position oversees student billing and contracts, housing eligibility, and provides frontline customer service for the department.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Managing quarterly term billing for housing, first year meal plans, and special billings
- Processing invoices, journal vouchers, contract and damage fees, and refunds
- Evaluating academic and financial eligibility of residents
- Providing customer service to current and prospective students
- Processing contract changes including cancellation, reactivation, and reassignment requests
- Performing regular audits to ensure accounting accuracy
- Supporting Summer Housing & Conferences with invoicing and processing payments
Minimum Qualifications from Classification
- 12 quarter hours (8 semester hours) of Accounting courses OR
- An Associates Degree in Accounting; AND
- One year of experience that includes entering, compiling and/or reporting financial information; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Transcripts must be submitted for all required and/or related courses. All courses must be from accredited colleges, universities, or private vocational schools.
Additional Minimum Qualifications for this PositionMust be willing to work occasional weekends (approx 2 per year).Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience working with databases similar to StarRez and Banner.
- Experience providing front-line customer service.
- Experience working in student housing or higher education.
- Experience working in a high-volume, high-stress environment with various interruptions.
