We are looking for a talented and hard-working Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance Team who will be responsible for calculating, verifying, processing invoices, posting, and maintaining data and payments for accounts payable.

Position Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, and maintains accounts payables processes and systems and provides support to those involved in the accounts payable cycle.
  • Responsible for the appropriate internal controls relating to accounts payables and bringing problem areas to the attention of the accounts payable manager.
  • Prioritizes and plans workflow to maximize the efficient use of time and to ensure the timely payment of all company obligations.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness by identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner.
  • Reviews and processes on-demand invoices and payment requests in accordance with clinic policy.
  • Assists in posting information to the general ledger.
  • Ensures timely processing of invoices through the accounts payable software.
  • Reviews regular vendor statements and resolves discrepancies.
  • Answers vendor and department inquiries as they relate to accounts payable.
  • Updates and maintains accounts payable database and files.
  • Prepares analysis of accounts, as requested by CFO.
  • Assists with gathering proper documentation for vendors.
  • Assists with special projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience using computer-based accounts payable and accounting software. Microsoft Great Plains experience would be preferred.
  • Ability to apply basic accounting including the use of a chart of accounts, verification of account coding, etc.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Working hours are in office Monday - Friday
