The role of the Substance Use Clinician involves developing, coordinating, and delivering both individual and group treatment, along with rehabilitation and support services tailored for clients with substance use disorders. This position includes providing clinical consultation to fellow clinicians as required. Furthermore, the Substance Use Clinician is responsible for fostering community relationships and networks to facilitate referrals, functioning as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements:

  • Must possess an LADC license from the Bureau of Substance Abuse Services
  • A valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and access to a personal vehicle for occasional transportation of clients
  • In-depth knowledge of local resources, including detox facilities, sober houses, treatment centers, and suboxone/methadone clinics, as well as other substance use disorder services
  • Previous experience working with adults and families in an outpatient setting
  • Prior experience with Electronic Health Records is preferred
  • One to two years of relevant experience

Compensation is based on candidate experience, qualifications, and certifications and licenses. Annual ranges listed are based on a full-time, 40 hours per week position.
