Title: Administrative Assistant II/Regular Half-Time

Salary: $16.24 per hour

Contract Term Length: 12 Months

Standard Hours: 23 hours weekly

Work Location: On-Site

  • This position is eligible to receive a prorated amount of vacation and sick leave per month.

Job Summary

To provide comprehensive support to the Student Support Services/Academic Advantage program operations through communications, outreach, administrative, and student engagement activities. This position assists with the development of print and digital materials, coordination of workshops and campus outreach efforts, and maintenance of program databases and records. The role also supports daily office operations, including inventory management, file maintenance, and general clerical duties. In addition, the position contributes to student engagement initiatives by assisting with events, trips, and workshops, while participating in ongoing professional development to support program goals and continuous improvement.

Job Duties:

Communications & Outreach Support
• Develop newsletters, brochures, and other print and digital materials.
• Assist with the coordination and presentation of workshops.
• Support campus visits and outreach activities.
• Maintain and update program databases.
• Prepare and coordinate program mailings.

Program Operations & Administrative Support
• Update and maintain program inventory.
• Maintain accurate records and files, including scanning and creating student files.
• Provide general office and clerical support.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support program goals.

Student Engagement & Professional Development
• Assist with student-focused initiatives and activities.
• Coordinate student trips, workshops, and special events, including logistics and communication.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunit

Minimum Qualifications:

High School degree with a minimum of 30 semester hours of college coursework with a 3.0 GPA or higher and at least one year of related work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's Degree and 1 year related work experience.

Additional Skills Requested:

• Proficiency in computer applications and office technology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional telephone etiquette.
• Demonstrated sensitivity to and ability to work effectively with students who are first-generation, low-income, and/or individuals with disabilities.
