As an Administrative Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations and exceptional patient experiences. Your responsibilities will include general office duties, patient registration and admission, and maintaining accurate medical records. Working as part of a dedicated care team, you will collaborate with other team members to meet patient needs and support departmental objectives. - Perform general office and administrative tasks to support patient care and departmental activities.
- Register and admit patients by collecting and entering demographic, insurance, and financial information.
- Maintain complete and accurate medical records, ensuring patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with the care team to meet patient needs and support team objectives.
- Assist other team members as needed, demonstrating flexibility and effective communication skills.
- Ensure familiarity with institutional policies and procedures, especially in healthcare settings.
- Demonstrate proficiency in clinical applications, with training provided upon hire.
- Maintain a safe and professional work environment, adhering to hospital protocols.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and colleagues.
Qualifications
- High School degree or equivalent, with the ability to read, speak, and write English.
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within the specified timeframe.
- Six to nine months of healthcare experience, preferably in an office/clerical role.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processing is essential.
- Interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse team members.
- Ability to set priorities, solve problems, and exercise sound judgment in challenging situations.
- Proficiency in Clinical Applications is preferred at the time of hire, with training provided.
- Physical ability to work at a computer terminal and lift up to 30 pounds frequently.
- Potential for exposure to hospital hazards, requiring adherence to safety protocols.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records.
