Job Summary

This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with high schools, counselors, teachers, and community partners to increase traditional student enrollment at the college. Supports the implementation of recruitment strategies designed to engage high school students and recent graduates, organizes school visits and on-campus events, collaborates with faculty and staff, reviews admissions applications, and represents the college to prospective students with the goal of attracting, admitting, and enrolling a motivated and diverse student population.

Job Duties:

  • Establish and maintain a Gateway presence at partner high schools and educational organizations by attending events, fostering relationships with counselors and school staff, and maintaining a consistent on-site and virtual presence to support recruitment goals.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate information sessions and presentations for prospective students, parents, and school or community partners.
  • Deliver admissions and enrollment messaging to internal and external audiences in alignment with institutional priorities.
  • Coordinate and execute program-specific recruitment events at high schools, on campus, and in the community.
  • Collaborate with academic programs, faculty, and campus partners to ensure effective event planning, logistics, and follow-up.
  • Establish and maintain a Gateway presence in the community to support recruitment of adult learners and other prospective student populations for on-campus and online programs.
  • Build relationships with community organizations, employers, and local partners to expand outreach efforts.
  • Support targeted recruitment initiatives, including dual credit and traditional student matriculation efforts.
  • Assist with scheduling logistics, securing resources, and coordinating recruitment activities.
  • Perform additional recruitment-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 0 to 2 years relevant experience
  • Knowledge of FAFSA and financial aid options for adult learners.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, ability to work independently and adapt seamlessly to fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Skilled in engaging and supporting students from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Forms, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working at the community college level.

Additional Skills Requested:

This position may be considered for a discretionary hybrid work arrangement following the successful completion of the probationary period. Approval of any hybrid schedule is contingent upon supervisory authorization, alignment with institutional operational needs, and adherence to a maximum of two (2) remote workdays per week.
