Job Summary
The Admissions Counselor–Southern Ohio position is a fully remote position and a strong candidate for the position will live and work in Southern Ohio (Cincinnati or Dayton areas), Indiana or Lexington. The position will work from home except when traveling to high schools or events in their assigned territory.
Recruits for the University of Kentucky,This person develops, coordinates, implements, and participates in recruitment efforts and admissions-related initiatives that serve to advance the undergraduate enrollment goals. Represents the University at college fair programs and professional conferences which will include extended hours of travel and weekend obligations. Responsible for managing a recruitment service area. Corresponds with and counsels’ prospective students and their families on the college admission process. Plans, organizes, and directs special events (on and off campus), conducts other office responsibilities as needed. Interacts with other university departments. Works with alumni clubs around the nation keeping them up to date about the University of Kentucky.

From a student-centered framework, our practice will be grounded in peer-reviewed literature, national best practices, and data-informed decision making. Collaborating with the campus and community, Student Success will work through a holistic lens to support a community of learners in achieving success.
