We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineering Lead to join the team with Aerodyne with supporting ER6 Software Engineering branch supporting multiple NASA human spaceflight programs. The selected candidate will provide software-focused Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) leadership across flight and ground system development efforts.

Responsibilities include:
Lead software requirements development, decomposition, traceability, and verification planning across complex, multi-partner programs.
Develop and review SE&I products such as ConOps, ICDs, hazard reports, V&V
plans, and milestone review materials (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, FRR).Coordinate integrated test and verification activities, analyzing reports for
technical performance, safety, and compliance.Maintain requirements and configuration control using tools such as DOORS/DOORS NG, Jama, JEDII, COSMIC, and SharePoint.
Interface directly with NASA organizations, prime contractors, and international partners to support mission readiness and certification efforts.
Perform risk identification, mitigation planning, and schedule/cost coordination across
SE&I workstreams.Prepare and present technical status, risks, and verification progress to NASA and
contractor leadership.Ability to work onsite at NASA Johnson Space Center or offsite at Contractor Location in Houston on a regular basis, with situational telework depending on project
needs.Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications
Requisition Qualifications:

Typically requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering and normally possess 5- 10 years of related experience. License and certification may be required.
Demonstrated experience in systems engineering, including requirements definition, interface development, verification and validation, risk analysis, and milestone review support.
Experience supporting software or software-enabled systems for aerospace, defense, or safety or mission critical environments.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with proven ability to coordinate across diverse technical disciplines.
Experience working in a team environment across government programs, contractors, or engineering organizations.
Requisition Preferences:
Degree in Computer, Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, or related field) or Computer Science
Prior experience supporting NASA programs such as Artemis, Gateway, Orion, or ISS.
Familiarity with NASA Systems Engineering processes (e.g., NPR 7123.1).
Familiarity with NASA Software Engineering Processes (e.g., NPR7150.2) and
software development lifecycles.Proficiency with requirements and configuration tools (e.g., DOORS/DOORS NG,
Jama, JEDII, SharePoint).Experience supporting human-rated system certification, hazard analysis, and
verification artifact development.INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional certification (ASEP/CSEP/ESEP).
Familiarity with NASA/JSC documentation systems, processes, and stakeholder
interfaces.

Work Environment
