Job Summary

Hazard Community and Technical College invites applicants for the Advancement Coordinator position. The Advancement Coordinator is responsible for developing giving opportunities and executing the fundraising strategy in support of development goals for the college. Initial review of applications will begin April 17, 2026.

Job Duties:

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Generates gifts through personal solicitation, direct mail and publications, electronic resources, special events, and other special campaigns.

• Responsible for donor relations and stewardship planning, including targeted donor stewardship communications and recognition events for priority donors, prospects, and constituencies.

• Cultivate relationships with prospects and donors.

• Prepare proposals, solicitation letters, gift agreements, and other development materials for prospects. Process donations, prepare acknowledgement letters, and ensure timely and accurate gift recording. Manage and update donor databases and fundraising records.

• Coordinate and assist in planning and execution of fundraising events.

• Collaborate with the Business Office to monitor the processing and reporting of private funds, as well as to establish budgets for gift accounts.

• Assist with the Hazard Independent College Foundation, processing and recording gifts via the Foundation, processing expenditures, maintaining financial records through QuickBooks. Prepare Board meeting materials.

• Assist the President of the College in developing and implementing an advancement strategic plan, goals, and objectives for the college.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree plus 4 years related experience, or equivalent.
