As our Alumni RelationsIntern, you'll spend the 2025-2026 NBA Season supporting Alumni Relations and Community Programs in the development and implementation of Alumni and Community Engagement initiatives.

About the Internship:

  • Internship Duration: August 26,2025 to April 24, 2026, with the potential for an extension.
  • Part-time Commitment: Expect to work an average of 28 hours per week.
  • Location: Portland, Oregon; this is an on-site role, not remote.
  • Industry: Dive into the dynamic world of Sports & Entertainment, gaining exclusive behind-the-scenes insights into what it truly means to be part of the team behind the team.

As our Alumni Relations Intern, you will:

  • Provide regular administrative support to the Alumni Relations Program
  • Assist with the distribution of gameday tickets, parking, and catering orders for all pre-season, regular season, and playoff home games
  • Regularly update alumni database with current contact information, demographic, and personal notes
  • Prepare departmental meeting documents and reports including bi-monthly committee meetings
  • Project manage Alumni social media, website, and e-marketing content requests to ensure timely posting
  • Assist with drafting social media posts and content creation on team’s social media platforms
  • Assist in the collaboration and design of marketing materials including welcome back graphics, reunion itineraries, photo presentations, etc.
  • Support Alumni reunions and hosted events with logistics, staffing, gifting, tracking, and reporting
  • Lead alumni autograph signings and manage inventory and requests throughout the year
  • Field phone calls and emails as related to Alumni Requests
  • Assist with community events and alumni engagement during events
  • Support game night staffing including pre-game engagements, suite visits, and special events
  • Assistthe Community Programs teamwith alumni engagement, community events, and activations, as needed

  • Have experience working in college or professional sports
  • Are available to staff Alumni and Community/DEI events pre, during, and post-game for all pre-season, regular season, and Playoff home games.
  • Are proficient in working with different computer programs such as MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
  • Build and maintain constructive and positive working relationships with a diverse group of people.
  • Prioritize assignments, stay organized and have a sharp eye for detail. You are inventive and a quick learner.
  • Are motivated, take initiative and can handle working on multiple projects at a time.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Bring a positive, upbeat demeanor every single day.
  • Maintain a high-level of confidentiality and exercise discretion when working with sensitive or proprietary information.
  • Possess the ability to lift 20-50 lbs.
  • Are available to work a flexible schedule, which could include office hours, Trail Blazers home games, and evening/weekend responsibilities.
