Physical Requirements
May include standing for greater than 5 hours at a time. May require the ability to reach items above shoulder level and be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
Shift
NOTE—this posting is primarily for an as needed (non-benefitted) pharmacist position in the new Richmond, KY location of UKHC Retail Pharmacies. Primarily covering shifts at the Richmond Retail Pharmacy located in Richmond, KY. Must be available to work during operating hours of the location which includes evening and weekend hours. Operating hours, schedule and shifts needed are subject to change based on location and scheduling needs of assignment area. Training shifts may be done in one of the Lexington, KY locations prior to opening of location.
Job Summary
Provide patient care in a fast-paced pharmacy setting. Compounds and dispenses medications and pharmaceutical supplies upon receiving written orders from physicians. Reviews and interprets prescriptions and drug profiles to ensure appropriate drug therapy has been prescribed and ensures that drug interactions are considered. Manage inventory and technician staff to provide excellent customer service.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Requires attention to detail and the ability to provide excellent customer service. Must be reliable and punctual. This position also requires teamwork, excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate and be understood in the English language.

Preferred Education/Experience
Ambulatory/Retail Pharmacy Experience preferred. PharmD or BS from College of Pharmacy with eligibility to be licensed in KY.
