Physical Requirements

This position requires intermittently sitting at a computer workstation; performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds; lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds; and occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Also involves some risk of back injury from moving, lifting or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; risk of injuries from use of equipment on the job; and exposure to blood-borne or airborne pathogens, hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, cuts/punctures, burns, and combative/violent people.



Shift

Operating hours of the location are Monday thru Friday 7am-9pm, and Saturday/Sunday730am-6pm. Targeted shift to be a rotating 7on/7off shift which will include mid and later evening shift rotations which will be discussed during interview. Shift rotation will include holidays occurring during rotation and every other weekend for coverage. Hours of operation and location of shift are subject to change based on needs of the department



Job Summary

The Ambulatory Retail Pharmacist compounds and dispenses medications and pharmaceutical supplies upon receiving written orders from physicians, and reviews and interprets prescriptions and drug profiles to ensure appropriate drug therapy has been prescribed and drug interactions are monitored.
