The Analyst/Senior Analyst supporting the Global & US Large Enterprises Team within Global Commercial Services at American Express will play a critical role in supporting client-facing teams across American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS). This role combines analytical expertise, client engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver measurable results.

How will you make an impact?

The Analyst will support account owners who manage strategic client/prospect relationships while gaining broad exposure to the commercial services business, payments industry, and client management. This position offers high visibility within GCS and a strong foundation for professional growth and advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Client Management/Acquisition teams to prepare and deliver client/prospect insights, benchmarks, business reviews, and strategic recommendations.
  • Conduct analysis of spending, supplier data, and portfolio/vertical trends to identify retention and growth opportunities.
  • Support end-to-end meeting execution, including development of content in partnership with Marketing, Fraud, Payments Consulting, Pricing, Legal, B2B, and other teams.
  • Prepare dashboards, presentations, and roundtable content for clients/prospects and senior leaders.
  • Contribute to process improvements and efficiencies, sharing best practices across the team.
  • Help support special projects and initiatives as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Marketing, or related field required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with financial acumen; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required (Salesforce experience a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail; proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills with ability to influence and drive results across teams.
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to work through ambiguity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of professional experience; exposure to financial services, consulting, payments, or client management/sales.

Salary Range: $65,500.00 to $102,500.00 annually + bonus + benefits
