We are currently looking for a Senior Healthcare Analyst to join our growing team!
The Senior Healthcare Analyst will leverage healthcare data to identify trends, opportunities, and operational improvements that drive quality outcomes, cost efficiency, and business performance. This role will analyze referral, authorization, claims, and clinical data to provide actionable insights for leadership teams. The ideal candidate combines healthcare industry knowledge with strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into meaningful business recommendations.
The Senior Healthcare Analyst serves as a trusted partner to operations, clinical, finance, and executive leadership by delivering insights that support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
Healthcare Analytics & Insights
- Analyze healthcare claims, authorization, referral, utilization, and operational data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), quality measures, and operational metrics across business units.
- Conduct root cause analyses to identify drivers of performance outcomes and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop meaningful insights that support business strategy, operational efficiency, and member outcomes.
- Evaluate healthcare utilization patterns and identify opportunities for cost containment and process optimization.
Business Partnership
- Collaborate with operational, clinical, and leadership teams to understand business challenges and define analytic solutions.
- Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences.
- Present findings, trends, and strategic recommendations to leadership teams.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on healthcare data, claims analytics, and industry performance metrics.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support organizational initiatives and performance improvement projects.
Reporting & Performance Management
- Create and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports that measure business performance.
- Track and communicate progress toward organizational goals and initiatives.
- Identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities and proactively communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across reporting and analytical deliverables.
Continuous Improvement
- Recommend process improvements based on data-driven insights.
- Support development of best practices for healthcare analytics and performance measurement.
- Participate in strategic projects focused on quality improvement, operational optimization, and business growth.
- Stay current on healthcare industry trends, regulations, reimbursement models, and performance measurement methodologies.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, Analytics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field required.
- Master's degree preferred.
Experience
- 5+ years of healthcare analytics experience.
- Experience analyzing claims, utilization management, population health, referral, authorization, or clinical data.
- Experience supporting operational or executive decision-making through analytics.
- Home health, managed care, payer, provider, or healthcare services experience strongly preferred.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of healthcare claims data and coding systems, including ICD, CPT®, and HCPCS.
- Healthcare reporting and analytical experience.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
- Experience writing and interpreting SQL queries preferred.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders.
- Strong presentation and storytelling with data skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
