Job Definition

Performs independent research within business to resolve business issues and process improvements. Formulates and defines business scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of business and industry requirements. With this knowledge, develops or modifies complex business process. Performs functional analysis, technical requirements definition and application module configuration and testing. Works in all phases of systems analysis and considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment. Is responsible for conducting prototypes, developing functional specifications, data mapping, function mapping, creating and managing configuration and transaction/control tables. Has a thorough understanding of the business processes and flows to enable the analysis of business requirements and the development of solutions for the business functions.

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Configuration Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Plant Maintenance (PM) application and its integration with the various system applications such as Outage Management System (OMS), Scheduling system (KloudGin), Geographic Information System (GIS), Design Tool Distribution Design Studio (DDS) & mobile field tools (SAP Work Manager). The role requires a high level of analytical and troubleshooting skills, as well as in-depth knowledge of utility industry business processes and analysis of business requirements.

Experience/Education

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/IT, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or related field,

AND

  • Four (4) years of progressively more responsible experience in software engineering;

OR

  • Eight (8) years of progressively more responsible experience in software engineering.

Key Responsibilites

  • Solution Design and Implementation: Analyze complex business processes and translate them into effective SAP-centric solutions. Configure SAP EAM to support work order management, Notifications, planned maintenance, master data tracking, and asset lifecycle management. Experience/Proficiency with SAP S/4 HANA and/or Fiori Application is desirable.
  • Business Process Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices within the SAP framework. This individual is responsible for leading work within or across end-to-end solution lifecycle.
  • Integration Management: Ensure seamless integration of SAP PM/EAM with other SAP modules and external systems.
  • Technical/Troubleshooting: Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on SAP capabilities and advising on system enhancements. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the SAP EAM system. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other team members.
  • Documentation/Training/Communication: Develop comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications and training materials. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in the Utility Sector is preferred, but not required
