Position Purpose
We are proud to offer the Advance Manufacturing program with the Texas Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (Texas FAME). This program is open to candidates interested in building a career in manufacturing by completing an associate's degree in advanced manufacturing technology (AMT).
The AMT program offers on-the-job training and formal academic advancement in a community college. The program focuses on professional presence (soft skills), lean manufacturing acumen, and technical skill attainment.
Minimum Qualifications
- GED or High School Diploma with college ready passing score (SAT/ACT) or willing to take placement tests or remedial courses.
- Being able to apply and be accepted to local community college
- Physical dexterity
- Mechanical aptitude
- Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge.
