Job Summary

Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College seeking a full-time Art Instructor to teach a minimum of 15 hours per semester. Primary teaching assignments will include undergraduate courses such as Introduction to Art, Renaissance through Medieval Art History, and other related classes. The instructor will also advise on arts in the area and assist with potential projects in the arts.

Anticipated start date: January 5, 2026

This position reports directly to the Dean of Arts and Sciences.

This is a 10-month defined term contract position. Positions are based on a defined term contract, with the expectation of continuance based on performance.

Job Duties:

The duties/responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
• Teach undergraduate courses
• Provide academic advising and career-related counseling for students
• Participating in professional development activities
• Participate in internal and external service activities

Assignment may include some evenings, weekend, online, and/or off-campus courses.

Candidates must possess a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and the community and technical college mission.

This position will be on the Cumberland Campus but may be required to travel to another campus.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree with 18 graduate hours of coursework in Art
