FLSA Status: Non-ExemptJob Title: AssemblerDepartment: ProductionLocation: American Rheinmetall, Plymouth, MI Summary Assembles machinery components, such as operating cylinders, electric control cases, transmissions, clutches, and special tools, according to specifications by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Transports specified parts from storage to work area manually or by using overhead crane.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining methods and sequences.
• Brushes lubricant on moving parts and fits parts together on bench, following blueprints.
• Operates machine manually to perform nonautomated functions when machine malfunctions.
• Discusses errors with supervisor to resolve problems.
• Cleans machine, tooling, and parts.
• Performs machine maintenance.
• Bolts, screws, and rivets parts together.
• Operates hydraulic press to force bearings into sleeves and flatten rivets.
• Connects electric wires to terminals of subassembly.
• Moves subassembly to storage area.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
