Required Related Experience

Required License/Registration/Certification

Certification – CSCCA (Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association) or the NSCA (National Strength & Conditioning Association). Appropriate licensures would include SCCC, MSCC, or CSCS.

Physical Requirements

To be able to lift, push, pull objects more than 50 pounds.

Days, evenings, and weekends.

Job Summary

The Assistant Strength Coach will:
  • develop and implement athletes’ physical profile
  • assist with the daily weight room operations
  • assist with football student-athlete accountability and follow-up as directed by the Coordinator of Football Performance and/or Head Football Strength Coach


Other duties include:
  • assisting with daily speed, agility, and quickness workouts for student-athletes
  • implement daily supplement program for student-athletes
  • ensure that the strength and conditioning facility is in proper working order at all times
  • responsible for seeking any weight room repair and maintenance.
  • This position must ensure proper licenses maintained through either the CSCCA (Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association) or the NSCA (National Strength & Conditioning Association). Appropriate licenses would include SCCC, MSCC, or CSCS.


The Assistant Strength Coach must comply with NCAA, SEC and University rules and policies.
