Responsibilities

Position Overview:

As Assistant Controller, you'll bepart of our Industrial Finance Controllership team working as an on-siteemployee at our Brea, CA location.

Key Responsibilities:

' Serve as a key member of both the finance and plantleadership teams, acting as a strategic partner to drive business resultsacross our Brea, California manufacturing facility.

' Collaborate closely with site leadership to influenceoperational decisions, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the financialhealth of multiple P&Ls within a dynamic environment featuring fullyinternalized engineering, testing, and production.

' Reporting to the CAM Fasteners Controller, you will leadsite cost accounting activities and' provide the analytical insights andbusiness partnership needed to achieve plant objectives.

' Catalyst for operational excellence, working alongsideplant leadership to identify opportunities, solve problems, and deliverresults.

' This role is designed for a collaborative leader who excelsat translating financial data into action, supporting the CAM FastenersController and leadership team in achieving both operational and financialgoals.

StrategicBusiness Partnership

' Operational Collaboration: Serve as a proactive member ofthe plant leadership team, providing financial insights and business counsel tosupport daily operations and long-term initiatives.

' Decision Support: Partner with site leaders to analyzebusiness cases, model scenarios, and evaluate investments, ensuring data-drivendecisions that enhance plant performance.

' Performance Visibility: Develop and deliver clear,actionable reporting that empowers the leadership team to understand keydrivers, track progress, and achieve plant targets.

' Continuous Improvement: Champion process excellence bystandardizing and improving business processes, eliminating waste, and boostingdata reliability across functions.

CostAccounting & Financial Leadership

' Cost Development & Maintenance: Lead all standardcosting activities, including annual cost roll, labor/overhead rates, andBOM/routing audits, in partnership with operations and engineering.

' Variance Analysis: Own daily/weekly variance tracking,delivering insights on PPV, labor efficiency, and volume variances to informoperational decisions.

' New Product Costing: Collaborate with engineering andoperations teams to provide pro-forma cost estimates and margin analysis fornew projects and bids.

FinancialGovernance & Risk Management

' Controllership Partnership: Support accurate financialstatements for multiple P&Ls, ensuring compliance and alignment withbusiness objectives. Support the controller in all planning, budgeting, andforecasting activities as needed

' Reporting & Compliance: Lead month-end/quarterlyclosing, support SOX compliance, and continuously improve internal controls.

Risk Mitigation: Work with theController and plant leadership to identify and address potential risks,supporting a strong control environment.

Qualifications

BasicQualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 7-10 years in a manufacturing environment, with proven experience as a business partner to operations and leadership teams.
  • ERP (JD Edwards, HFM), advanced Excel, BI tools (Power BI), P&L ownership.
  • Collaborative, influential partner able to align finance and operations, drive cross-functional initiatives, and deliver results.
  • High integrity, continuous improvement mindset, service-oriented approach, and strong communication skills.

Salary Range:

' The base pay range for this position inCalifornia is $85,400.00 - $137,540.00/year. Pay is based on market locationand may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Asign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, inaddition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits,dependent on the position offered.
