Job Summary

The AVP for Career and Workforce Alignment of UK’s Talent Preparation and Deployment Initiative plays a vital role in supporting both new and ongoing initiatives aimed at meeting institutional and statewide goals for job placement in Kentucky’s workforce needs. This position serves as the central institutional leader across career preparation and workforce placement areas, coordinating efforts to track progress established by institutional research and analytics teams.

The AVP for Career and Workforce Alignment will oversee the institution-wide initiative as well as a professional staff. The AVP for Career and Workforce Alignment will lead the team in evaluating current programs, reviewing key performance indicators (KPIs), and advancing the development of standardized practices for tracking and reporting outcomes across student success initiatives. These efforts will be aligned with priorities set by senior university leadership and data-informed strategies.

Student Success will, from the time of early college outreach to graduation and beyond, support students in living a life of meaning and purpose. From a student-centered framework, our practice will be grounded in peer-reviewed literature, national best practices, and data-informed decision making. Collaborating with the campus and community, Student Success will work through a holistic lens to support a community of learners in achieving success.
