Job Description and Requirements

Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union is currently searching for an experienced and talented Assistant Vice President - IT Network Services to join our amazing IT Network Services team!

The Assistant Vice President - IT Network Services will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule (remote/onsite) after a period of training (time frame may vary). Training will take place at the RBFCU Administrative Service Center: 1 Ikea-RBFCU Pkwy, Live Oak, Texas 78233.

All applicants must reside within the state of Texas and have the capability of performing all of the work from their home in Texas.

To successfully work from home, employees must have access to a minimum internet connection as noted by RBFCU.


• Must have a reliable home internet provider and the ability to hard wire a connection directly to modem (Ethernet cable provided).
• Must be able to provide a workspaces at home that is safe, suitable for work, and within a distraction free environment

The AVP of IT Network Services is responsible for vision, direction, leadership and administration of the infrastructure and applications supporting Network Services including data network, perimeter security, telephony services, video services, auxiliary systems, and the personnel that directly maintain those services. Must be able to effectively communicate with a wide range of clients including technical, business, and senior level resources to develop and implement complex solutions to meet business needs. Must possess and maintain a high level of knowledge of business functionality and it’s importance to RBFCU. Provides overall direction and guidance to the team, including interviewing, hiring, technical instruction, mentoring, and evaluating employees.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Provides expert technical influence over multiple teams, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing deep knowledge and experience.
  • Achieve availability across the enterprise by creating and maintaining an innovative and stable technology environment, ensuring that business needs are met, issues are resolved in an expedient manner, and root cause is identified.
  • Foster a high level design for stable Network Services and axillary environments that are cost efficient, meet the needs of RBFCU, are shared with stakeholders, and are compliant with current security, privacy, and audit requirements.
  • Effectively works with counterparts across the IT organization to ensure consistency across the organization, Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union, and the general public.
  • Provides tactical and strategic input for budget, future strategy, capacity management, team direction, and deliver presentations on new or revised services.
  • Manage vendor relationships by communicating effectively, holding vendors accountable, and cultivating a positive working relationship.
  • Ensures survivable network services through redundant, simple, repeatable, and wherever possible fully automated incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
  • Proven ability to plan, coordinate support and prioritize work and future requirements with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum five years of job-related work experience
  • Minimum of one year leadership experience with technical teams
  • Experience in program management, comfortable communicating at various levels of technical and non-technical management
  • Experience managing groups delivering telephony services using standard industry protocols including H323 and SIP
  • Experience with design principles ensuring security, including broad knowledge of information security principles (authentication, authorization, access control, confidentiality, integrity, etc)
  • Experience performing risk and impact assessment
  • Current CISSP or CCNP preferred, CCDP a plus
  • Thorough understanding of various L2/L3 protocols and technologies: TCP/IP (v4 & v6) and related protocols including EIGRP, OSPF, QoS, BGP
  • Expert knowledge of firewall and VPN concepts

Preferred:

  • Graduation from accredited college/university with Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Services, Information Assurance or related field; and, five years supporting IT business functions; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
