
Assistant, Worldwide Publicity & Specialty Releasing
Summary of Position
The Assistant, Worldwide Publicity will report to the VP, Worldwide Publicity, Specialty Releases and Awards and will assist the publicity team in developing and implementing publicity campaigns to promote current Lionsgate film campaigns and in addition to catalog titles and awards strategy. The ideal candidate has a deep love of film and pop culture.
Responsibilities
- Support the VP, Worldwide Publicity by providing administrative support including managing schedule and calendar, coordinating and booking travel, screening calls, communicating with other marketing departments, and executing all other administrative tasks
- Support the direct Global publicity teams as needed with brainstorming ideas, proofreading and assist in developing and executing campaigns, coordinating travel for talent and filmmakers, assisting with negotiating of glam rates for talent and filmmakers, circulating tune-ins, crafting and sending out daily press breaks and related documents, and processing invoices
- Assist with publicity events (premieres, junkets, award shows, etc.)
- Manage product fulfillment, as needed, for current release and/or catalog titles
- Coordinate asset deliverables (trailers, key art, stills, clips, etc.) by coordinating with both internal (marketing strategy, digital social media) and external (PR agencies) teams
- Co-manage creation and distribution of screener links for press and industry requests, in addition to booking coordination for in-person screenings
- Manage and maintain key department documents (key dates, contacts, agendas, media lists, etc.)
- Help to confirm meetings with internal teams, talent reps, filmmakers, PR agencies, and industry vendors and organizations
- Prepare all business-related expenses using CONCUR; make sure all expenses are completed and submitted in a timely manner
- Assist with management of awards calendars
- Work with publicity team and outside PR agencies to identify opportunities to amplify press coverage and talent interviews
- Monitor relevant industry news daily
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related degree preferred
- 1-2 years’ experience in publicity within an agency or studio is preferred but not required
- Minimum of 1 year experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.); familiarity with Google Documents and Sheets a plus
- Superior project management and written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work overtime and be flexible with hours
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of Management
- Highly organized and detail-oriented

$43,000 - $45,000
