Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking an experienced development professional to fill the role of Associate Director - Collaborative Fundraising (Major Gifts & Donor Growth).This person is an essential resource to the realization of Collaborative Fundraising to grow individual giving with affiliate partners. Reporting to the Director of Collaborative Fundraising, this role partners with affiliates participating in Collaborative Fundraising, internal HFHI teams, and cross-functional development partners to scale proven fundraising approaches, guide major gift opportunities, support implementation and manage data reporting and analytics. The focus is on tracking affiliate activity in cultivating, stewarding, and soliciting individual donors and prospects, particularly those with major gift potential. This role contributes to strengthening fundraising efforts across the Habitat network. Success will be measured by donor movement, upgrade conversions, and year-over-year revenue growth.
This position may be remote or hybrid in the US and requires 5% travel.
Responsibilities
Affiliate Partnership & Strategy (30%)
*Serve as a strategic resource to affiliate development teams and leadership, with an understanding and experience with major donor strategy, moves management, and portfolio development knowledge to support effective collaboration.
*Partner with affiliates to implement donor upgrade strategies, assign donors based on donor intent, and support accountability for moves management.
*Promote donor-centric fundraising and a culture of philanthropy across the network.
*Demonstrate a strong commitment to affiliate support, focusing on delivering high-quality service and building positive relationships.
Program Implementation (25%)
*Lead day-to-day execution of the direct marketing donor upgrades, coordinating with internal teams including Resource Development Operations, Expertise Hubs, Direct Marketing, and Finance.
*Support revenue growth outcomes tied to donor upgrade conversions.
*Facilitate affiliate meetings and calls: prepare agendas, talking points, pre-reads, and follow-up notes/action items.
*Share best practices and success stories across affiliates and internal teams.
*As needed, lead webinars and conference presentations to communicate new initiatives and drive adoption of collaborative fundraising strategies.
Data Management and Reporting (20%)
*Monitor donor upgrade performance and revenue outcomes.
*Track and report affiliate donor interactions and pipeline activity in CRM systems.
*Assess pipeline health, KPIs, and donor movement to identify opportunities and insights.
*Coordinate reporting requirements and expectations across affiliates and HFHI departments.
Collaboration & Engagement (15%)
*Actively participate in department and organizational meetings, initiatives, and events.
*Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment and integration of major gift strategies.
Other Duties (10%)
*Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support the success of Collaborative Fundraising initiatives.
Requirements
*Bachelor's degree.
*3+ years of development experience with direct responsibility in individual giving and fundraising outcomes.
*Demonstrated success in Individual Giving / major gift donor upgrade strategies.
*Strong project/account management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
*Strong customer service orientation.
*Excellent communication skills, verbal, written, and listening.
*CRM proficiency (Salesforce, BBCRM, or equivalent).
*Ability to collaborate effectively in a matrixed, complex environment.
*Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
*Proficiency in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams).
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance. For work locations in the US, the hiring range for this position is $81,600-96,000 per year.
