Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the leads of Worldwide Commercialization Excellence (WCx), Commercialization BI&T teams and the broader IT matrix organization with an app specific focus on solution architecture incl. integrations (anchoring on new/innovative solutions & approaches), technical design & supporting delivery of new content (e.g. Digital Asset Management & associated content/engagement performance) & digital capabilities, and a secondary focus on the enablement and simplification of existing digital capabilities to drive effective content & digital engagement experience.
- Collaborate with IT partners and business teams to understand requirements/use cases & translate them into technical requirements.
- Improve or align requirement outcomes to architect & help deliver successful release for new initiatives and enhancements.
- Design solution architecture by evaluating and selecting appropriate technologies and tools, including GenAI, to support digital channels’ delivery needs.
- Define and enforce best practices for solution architecture, ensuring consistency and adherence to BMS standards.
- Contribute & manage macro architectures and technology blueprints, system architecture and design documentation and CLAD processes.
- Work with & support other Senior Architect(s) & Technical Leads with solution architecture, innovation & design of new content & digital capabilities.
- Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement to drive productivity and/or cost savings.
- Lead Proof of Concepts (POCs) with user management, security, data privacy & performance as key considerations to help prove out a potential solution to scale into production.
- Demonstrate the ability to identify high value capabilities with clear differentiators when making content & digital capability platform choices.
- Responsible for exploring and looking at new ways of working, using Gen AI approach to enable content capabilities & digital channels for an amplified customer engagement & experience.
- Explore opportunities to utilize GenAI in the content & digital engagement channels space including data connections to drive an amplified omni-channel experience.
- Lead the design and development of content & digital platforms’ solution architectures, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies for content & digital platforms including advancements in new GenAI models
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to contribute ideas and implement innovative solutions.
- Work closely with vendors and external partners to ensure seamless integration of third-party solutions and platforms.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and best practices
- Responsible for ensuring that all IT capability leads & functions are successful in their delivery of services for the Business & WCx teams. Key matrix IT partner functions include enterprise & data architecture, cyber security, application build & support, portfolio & program management, enterprise information management, collaboration services, infrastructure services.
Qualifications & Experience
• Digital Marketing domain experience.
• Commercialization (Commercial + Medical) domain & especially Content & Digital Solutions experience.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the confidence to build strong partnerships & influence senior business leaders.
• Demonstrated technical thought leadership in the planning, design and execution of enterprise content & digital capabilities for commercialization business units.
• Expertise on software-development lifecycle methodologies including Agile, Lean, Waterfall etc.
• Hands-on technical experience with multiple implementations of content & digital platform capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead & drive content & digital platform(s) architecture/innovation strategy.
• Ability to lead analysis of complex business needs and integrate those into actionable strategic technical plans.
• Is solution / user experience oriented with the ability to partner with & guide delivery team resources.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as AWS Glue, Informatica and integration platforms such as Mulesoft or webMethods.
• Strong hands-on experience in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js etc.)
Strong hands-on experience of querying/programming languages such as SQL, SOQL, Python and JavaScript/JSON are an added advantage.
• Experience with Git, AI Predictive Solutions, AI Assistants e.g. ChatGPT, Claude etc. and strong understanding of IT processes like information/data architecture, data privacy reviews, cyber security reviews, risk assessments etc.
• Ability to manage business process analysis and improvement including cost benefit analysis/estimation and post implementation KPI metrics delivery.
• Ability to scan technical landscape for leading edge solutions and create business cases for new investments, including level of effort/ cost required to implement solutions & services, and managing the delivery process.
Other Experience
• Working knowledge of agile software-development lifecycle methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to support a dynamic culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Potential to develop into an internally/externally recognized thought-leader for content & digital capabilities.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related field with 10+ years of IT work experience.
• Hands-on work experience in a technical architect role (with ~7 years of experience in solution architecture for content & digital platforms) and understanding of architectural methodologies and best practices.
• 5-7 years of working experience with Content Platforms & Capabilities (Platforms such as Veeva, AEM / Capabilities such as MLR, DAM etc.), Digital Channels (Web, Chatbots, Social/Podcasts, HOE, 3PP media etc.) &
ETL tools such as AWS Glue, Informatica and integration platforms such as Mulesoft or webMethods.
• Familiarity with and awareness of the Pharmaceutical Industry.
• Capable of working cooperatively across boundaries and within a matrix to achieve results.
• Ability to deliver complex systems to one or multiple geographies and business units.
• Demonstrates strong presentation & influencing skills with key partners across functions/regions.

Compensation Overview:
Princeton - NJ - US: $171,020 - $207,236 
The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

Paid Time Off
- US Exempt Employees: flexible time off (unlimited, with manager approval, 11 paid national holidays (not applicable to employees in Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico or Rayzebio employees)
- Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico and Rayzebio Exempt, Non-Exempt, Hourly Employees: 160 hours annual paid vacation for new hires with manager approval, 11 national holidays, and 3 optional holidays
Based on eligibility*, additional time off for employees may include unlimited paid sick time, up to 2 paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, and military needs and an annual Global Shutdown between Christmas and New Years Day.
All global employees full and part-time who are actively employed at and paid directly by BMS at the end of the calendar year are eligible to take advantage of the Global Shutdown.
*Eligibility Disclosure: The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Summer hours are generally not available for field sales and manufacturing operations and may also be limited for the capability centers.
