Summary:

The Associate Director Global Access Strategy Integration, Oncology will be responsible for supporting Global Market Access (GMAx) Strategies for BMS’s portfolio assets or combination of assets in the oncology space. They will provide input to the Development and Commercial Strategy organization on access approaches across markets. Additionally, they will be responsible for representing integrated MAx input on above-brand portfolio strategy decisions, including Global MAx input for long-term financial plan (LTFP) and budget planning, as well as the evolution and implementation of GMAx LOE strategy.

The position is highly strategic and cross-functional in nature, and is part of a highly-matrixed organization. The role will partner with the cross-functional GMAx (PASL, HEOR and Pricing Lead) Team as well as with the extended team (commercial, medical, regulatory, policy, business Insights & analytics), and with the relevant individual market stakeholders across the world to optimally position BMS products for success in an increasingly challenging and evolving WW access landscape.

This role will report to the Senior Director, Global Access Strategy Integration, Oncology.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the full GMAx organization (PASL, Pricing, HEOR, In-region teams) to holistically assess BMS' Oncology assets, maximizing both speed of access and long-term franchise value with consideration for commercial objectives and the market environment evolution over the product life cycle.
  • Identify, analyze and incorporate asset/portfolio relevant access and pricing opportunities/risks to shape strategic approaches that optimize value across all relevant markets while balancing the health of the full portfolio.
  • Collaborate closely with US & Global Access Strategy, Policy, Pricing, BI&T, and Finance to assess and manage Budget and LTFP access and pricing trade-off decisions.
  • Manage the Global MAx input for Budget and LTFP processes for Oncology, ensuring accuracy and consistency across pricing and access inputs.
  • Evolve the GMAx LOE strategy for the Oncology portfolio, partnering closely with Global MAx functions and Global, Regional, and Local cross functional teams.
  • Support Oncology Portfolio GMAx initiatives and workstreams including but not limited to: Global MAx Forum, Portfolio Prioritization, DEX and/or other relevant governance evolution.
  • Participate in asset specific Pricing & Market Access (P&MA) recommendations tied to asset governance decisions (ID3, ID4, DEX, CRF, CSRE, etc) as relevant.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PharmD, or similar) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical market access, pricing, or finance roles, preferably with global or large market; oncology experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of market access, pricing, and payer environments and evolving policy trends and potential risks and opportunities for BMS.
  • Displays excellent business & financial acumen, with awareness of the key issues or topics within complex situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to distill multiple perspectives and positions into a single set of recommendations for decision-making.
  • Proven ability to collaborate within highly matrixed, cross-functional teams and influence across matrix.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information for diverse audiences.
  • Adept at navigating international, multi-lingual, and cross-functional organizational matrices within a diverse and cross-cultural work environment.
  • Experienced in prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering results in a timely manner.
  • Comfortable working in a rapidly evolving scientific and competitive landscape with a high degree of ambiguity.
  • Ability to travel to domestic and international meetings and congresses as needed.

Compensation Overview:

Princeton - NJ - US: $164,050 - $198,790 


The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
