Summary:
The Associate Director of U.S. Access Marketing is responsible for developing and executing U.S. Market Access Marketing initiatives to successfully achieve patient, payer and provider access for Abecma and current and future LCM indications for Breyanzi.
This individual will report to the Executive Director of US access strategy and will work closely with Director US Portfolio Access strategy lead for Cell Therapy to develop and execute on Access Strategies.
On the Access strategy side, this role will work closely with other US access functions, such as Global Market Access, HEOR, Pricing and Contracting, Trade and Distribution, Patient Access Support.
On the execution side, this role will also work closely with other matrix partners such as commercial, Legal, Medical and Regulatory functions and cross functional partners such as US field access and field based cell therapy market access account managers and U.S. Sales to drive execution on access strategies to optimize patient access to BMS therapies.
Responsibilities:
- Support developmentof Market Access strategic plan to support the BMS current and future indications of products in alignment with brand plans and contribute to the market access portion of brand planning
- Lead development and implementation of tactical plan and manage access initiatives for all channels of U.S. Market Access customers. These accounts include Payers, PBMs, Providers – Academic Medical Centers, Community Hospitals and Physician Offices - Physician Networks, Pathways, Trade and Professional Associations and Societies
- Communicate access-specific strategies to internal business partners and field based teams
- Collaborate with field input teams to develop tools and resources and deploy them through POA and launch meetings
- Prioritize, identify and implement Market Access Marketing plan adjustments when necessary to respond to the dynamic Market Access market place and ensure alignment with Brand/ Market Access leadership
- Collaborate with Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) team to develop tactics to support all Hematology/ Oncology brands. This includes development of Value Propositions, Economic Analysis and Tools as well as Unbranded tactics to support communication of value across various formulary decision makers
- Collaborate with Market Research and Analytics, Corporate Affairs and Market Access Team to monitor the competitive environment to identify opportunities with payers, patient access & pathways.Coordinate US Market Access input at all stages of brand development and decision-making; including positioning, branding, forecasting, pricing strategies, life-cycle management and scientific / promotional communications
- Manage and optimize Market Access promotional budget to ensure optimal marketing mix and proper execution through all account teams or non-field based approaches.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS required; MBA preferred
- At least 5 – 7 years’ pharmaceutical industry or related consulting experience in marketing and US market access area, preferably with at least 2-3 years of Hematology/Oncology experience
- Strong knowledge of payers, patient access, physician networks & pathways companies
- Previous Market Access experience required
- Proven track record of strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to effectively and efficiently execute within a matrix organization
- Experience in delivering complex messages to various internal and external customers with a track record of effective and influential presentations.
- Demonstrate initiative, creativity, strategic capabilities, and ability to work effectively in complex, rapidly changing environments
- Significant experience with strong project and process management skills, along with the ability to work on multiple tasks, and to effectively prioritize
- Proven team player with ability to frequently and successfully navigate cross-functionally with other Market Access teams and other BMS Departments
- Occasional travel will include Launch Meetings, POAs, customer visits, market research, etc.

Compensation Overview:
Madison - Giralda - NJ - US: $164,050 - $198,790 
Princeton - NJ - US: $164,050 - $198,790 
The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
