Job Summary
The Associate General Counsel for Health Affairs and Research provides legal advice, compliance guidance, and support to University leadership, faculty, and staff regarding all aspects of the University’s research initiatives, as well as other University matters as necessary.
This role provides legal advice and policy guidance related to research matters, including interpretation and application of federal and state laws, regulations, and University policies, and offers clear, actionable guidance that supports informed decision‑making and reduces institutional risk. Legal support includes the review and drafting of research‑related documents and agreements.
Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Office of Legal Counsel, the Associate General Counsel supports coordinated institutional matters and may be assigned to any practice area as University legal needs evolve. This flexible, service‑oriented position is essential to advancing the University’s mission through responsible, reliable, and high‑quality legal counsel.
